Everything you need to get started with MangoFone.

Getting Started

  1. 1 Create an account — Sign up with your email and a password. It's free.
  2. 2 Add credit — Go to Add Credit and pay via Stripe. Minimum top-up is $5.
  3. 3 Buy a phone number (optional) — Numbers are $5.00/month each. Your number lets contacts reach you and gives you a caller ID to dial from.
  4. 4 Add leads & dial — Import contacts or add them manually, then click the phone icon to call.
  5. 5 Use your own phone number (optional) — Connect a SIP trunk from your carrier or PBX to call from your own number instead of buying one. Add SIP channels to unlock concurrent lines.

Making Calls

  • From the Lead List: Click the phone icon next to any lead's number to dial instantly.
  • From Lead Detail: Open a lead and click the Call button.
  • From the Dialer: Go to Dialer, type a number on the keypad (or use your keyboard), and press Call.
  • Bulk Import: Upload a CSV, Excel, or PDF file with name, email, and phone columns to add multiple leads at once.

Agent Console (Single Sign-On)

The Call buttons and the Dialer open our carrier-grade agent console at agent.mangoefone.com. You are signed in automatically — no separate password to type.

  • Automatic login: the console pre-fills your User ID, password, and extension and submits the login for you. SSO links are single-use and expire after 15 minutes — if a page ever shows an empty login form, open the Dialer from the app again for a fresh link.
  • Campaign context: the console dials within a campaign. One is selected for you automatically; if you need a dedicated campaign (your own lead list, caller ID, or dial pacing), contact support and we'll provision it.
  • Where results live: completed console calls flow back into your MangoFone call history and lead statuses.
  • Browser softphone: the ViciPhone WebRTC webphone lets you ring in your browser — no desk phone or softphone app required. Click the headset icon in the console to enable it.

Agent Quick-Start: First Test Call

New agents follow these steps exactly. You start with our echo test (safe, no carriers), then a known-number call, then live leads.

  1. 1 Sign in to the platform at www.mangoefone.com and open the Dialer (or any lead Call button). This mints a fresh single-use sign-on link.
  2. 2 Let the console log you in. Your User ID, password, extension, and campaign are filled and submitted for you. If the form sits empty, the link expired — go back and open the Dialer again.
  3. 3 Echo test first: dial 600 in the console dialpad. You'll hear yourself back — this proves your mic, audio, and phone registration all work.
  4. 4 Call a known number: dial 9 + full number (e.g. 9187655550100). Outbound calls leave the dialer with the campaign's caller ID.
  5. 5 Dial your leads: in the agent screen your queued leads appear in the hopper. Use Manual Dial for your first batch — one call at a time, full control. Disposition every call (Sale / Callback / Not Interested / DNC) so the lead leaves the queue.

If the agent screen won't let you in

  • “No leads in the hopper”: your campaign has no dialable leads. Active campaign + active lead list + NEW-status leads are all required — ask your admin to check the list.
  • “Extension could not be verified”: your phone registration is stale. Log out and re-enter through the Dialer so the console picks up your current extension.
  • Empty login form that never submits: your sign-on link was already used or expired (15-minute life). Open the Dialer from the app again.
  • “You do not have permission” (admin pages): your admin account needs its section permissions set. An administrator fixes this under Users on the dialer.

Campaigns & Bulk Dialing

  • Create: from the Campaigns page pick a mode — broadcast plays a recorded/TTS message to every number; predictive auto-dials the queue and bridges live answers to your phone.
  • Attach numbers: filter your leads (by source or status) or upload a CSV/XLSX/PDF with a phone column. Numbers start dialing immediately on upload.
  • Control: start, pause, resume, or cancel anytime; stats update live on the campaign page.
  • Pacing: concurrency follows your SIP channel capacity (or a single metered line) and the campaign's own concurrency cap.
  • Carrier-grade dialer: campaigns synced to our ViciDial dialer are managed there (leads, dispositions, agent-paced dialing) and the app pauses its own dialing for those to avoid double-dialing. Contact support to have a campaign synced.

Receiving Calls

  • Purchase a phone number from the Numbers page.
  • When someone calls your purchased number, MangoFone automatically connects the call to you.
  • You can own multiple numbers and pause/release them anytime.

Connect Your Own SIP Trunk

Use your own carrier, PBX, or SIP provider as your outgoing number — no MangoFone number needed. Work through these steps in order.

  1. 1 Make sure your account is active. SIP trunking requires an active subscription. If you haven't activated yet, subscribe first.
  2. 2 Collect your SIP details from your provider. Any provider works — Twilio, Flowroute, Telnyx, your own Asterisk/FreeSWITCH/3CX server, or a hosted PBX. You need the SIP URI (endpoint) and optionally a SIP username and password — usually on the provider's “SIP trunk” or “endpoint” settings page.
  3. 3 Open the SIP Trunks page. Go to Numbers and click “Use my SIP trunk” (on the app: Profile › Numbers › Use my SIP trunk).
  4. 4 Click “Add a SIP trunk” and fill in the form (see the field guide below). Only Name and SIP endpoint are required.
  5. 5 Click “Add SIP Trunk.” The trunk appears in your list as Active. From now on your outbound calls originate from your own carrier.
  6. 6 Only if your endpoint is hosted on your own server: complete the firewall checklist below so calls can reach you.
  7. 7 Test a call from the Dialer. Then (optional) add SIP channels to run several calls at the same time.

What to put in each field

  • Name — any label you choose, e.g. Office PBX. Just for your reference.
  • SIP endpoint — the address of your carrier or PBX. Any of these work:
    • sip:alice@sip.example.com — username + host (most common)
    • sip.example.com — just the host (we add sip: for you)
    • sip:alice@sip.example.com:5060 — include a port if your provider uses one
    • sip:alice@sip.example.com;transport=udp — force a transport if needed
  • SIP username / password — only if your provider requires it to accept your calls. Some providers "challenge" incoming INVITEs with a login prompt (407). Entering credentials here lets Twilio answer that challenge — they're attached to your trunk securely and never baked into the call address. Leave blank if your provider uses IP allowlisting instead.
  • Outbound caller ID — the number your calls display, e.g. +15551234567 or sip:alice@yourdomain.com. Optional.

Firewall / SBC checklist (only needed for your own server)

Calls reach your endpoint as SIP INVITEs from Twilio. Twilio Elastic SIP trunks do not support SIP REGISTER, so accept INVITEs as a trusted peer. Works with any provider — Flowroute, Telnyx, Twilio, your Asterisk/FreeSWITCH/3CX server, hosted PBXes, and more.

  • ✓ Allowlist Twilio's signaling & media IPs for both regions: us1 (primary) and us2 (failover) — view Twilio's Networking Information.
  • ✓ Open SIP ports 5060 (UDP/TCP) and 5061 (TLS).
  • ✓ Accept E.164 numbers — make sure your dial plan routes them.
  • ✓ Negotiate G.711 µ-law / A-law and allow RTP media back to Twilio.
  • ✓ Try credentials if your provider rejects unauthenticated INVITEs — enter the username/password in the form (step 4) and we attach them to your trunk.
  • 🔍 If you're mapping values onto a specific device, Twilio's device setup guides cover 3CX, Asterisk, Cisco, FreeSWITCH and more.

SIP channels, minutes & E911

  • Add a trunk vs. add channels: the trunk is your carrier connection. Channels are the number of calls that can run at once — a 3-channel pack lets you run 3 calls simultaneously.
  • Channel packs: recurring subscriptions starting at $20/mo for 1 channel, scaling up to 10 channels. A one-time $250.00 setup fee applies.
  • Included minutes: while a pack is active, US/CA minutes are included. International and over-bundle calls meter from your balance at $0.02/min.
  • E911: enable Enhanced 911 on any purchased MangoFone number for $1.50/mo each — we provision the emergency routing for you.

Managing Leads

  • Import: Upload CSV, Excel, or PDF files. MangoFone auto-detects columns named name, email, phone, source.
  • Sort: Use the dropdown on the leads page to sort by name, date, status, or source.
  • Status: Track leads as New, Contacted, Qualified, or Lost.
  • Feedback: Leave star ratings and notes after calls.

Account Security

  • Two-Factor Authentication: Enable 2FA in your dashboard for TOTP-based login security (works with Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
  • Password: Use a strong, unique password for your account.

AI Call Assistant

  • Script Generator: Open any lead and click Sales/Follow-up/Support to generate a call script tailored to that lead.
  • Real-Time Assist: During a call, type what the customer said in the Call Assistant box and get AI-suggested responses instantly.
  • Powered by: DeepSeek (low-cost AI) or Ollama (local). Set DEEPSEEK_API_KEY in your env to enable.

ViciDial Agent Console & Admin Tutorials

The ViciDial agent console (agent.mangoefone.com) is your carrier-grade dialing interface. These tutorials cover everything from first login to admin management.

Agent Quick-Start: First Test Call

New agents follow these steps exactly. You start with our echo test (safe, no carriers), then a known-number call, then live leads.

  1. 1Sign in to the platform at www.mangoefone.com and open the Dialer (or any lead Call button). This mints a fresh single-use sign-on link.
  2. 2Let the console log you in. Your User ID, password, extension, and campaign are filled and submitted for you. If the form sits empty, the link expired — go back and open the Dialer again.
  3. 3Echo test first: dial 600 in the console dialpad. You'll hear yourself back — this proves your mic, audio, and phone registration all work.
  4. 4Call a known number: dial 9 + full number (e.g. 9187655550100). Outbound calls leave the dialer with the campaign's caller ID.
  5. 5Dial your leads: in the agent screen your queued leads appear in the hopper. Use Manual Dial for your first batch — one call at a time, full control. Disposition every call (Sale / Callback / Not Interested / DNC) so the lead leaves the queue.

Agent Credentials & Login

Your ViciDial credentials are generated automatically and never shared with MangoFone. Here's how to access them:

  • User ID: mf<your_user_id> (e.g. mf12)
  • Password: Generated on first login via SSO. View it in MangoFone at Settings → Dialer → Agent Credentials or via /vicidial/credentials/.
  • Extension: 1000 + your_user_id (e.g. 1012)
  • Login URL: https://agent.mangoefone.com/agc/vicidial.php

Admin: Managing Agents & Campaigns

Account administrators can manage agents, campaigns, and dialer settings through the ViciDial admin interface.

  • Access Dialer Admin: https://agent.mangoefone.com/agc/admin.php (HTTP Basic auth - use your ViciDial admin credentials)
  • From MangoFone: Settings → Dialer Administration → Open Dialer Administration (requires superuser)
  • Add Agent: Admin → Users → Add User → Set User Level 1-10 (1=Agent, 7=Admin, 9=Super Admin)
  • Assign to Campaign: Campaigns → Select Campaign → Allowed Users → Add your agent
  • Set Caller ID: Campaigns → Select Campaign → Caller ID → Use a number owned by your carrier
  • Reset Agent Password: Users → Edit User → Generate new password

Campaign Setup & Sync

MangoFone campaigns can run on the platform dialer or sync to ViciDial for carrier-grade features.

  • Create Campaign: MangoFone → Campaigns → New → Choose Broadcast (message) or Predictive (bridge to agent)
  • Attach Leads: Upload CSV or filter existing leads → numbers normalize to E.164
  • Sync to ViciDial: Contact support to sync a campaign → gets a vicidial_campaign_id
  • ViciDial Campaign: Active in ViciDial with Active list → hopper builds each minute
  • Caller ID: Set to a number owned by your carrier (Twilio/Telnyx) for attestation
  • Dispositions: Sale, Callback, Not Interested, DNC, Busy, No Answer, Machine, etc.

Mobile App: Bring Your Own Number (BYOF)

Own your number at FlyNumber (or any SIP provider) and use it from the MangoFone dialer, a PinePhone, or any SIP softphone. Needs the Mobile BYOF subscription — the in-app dialer with a platform number works as before with no change.

  1. Buy your own FlyNumber: create your own account at flynumber.com, buy a number, set its Call Handling to "SIP Address" pointed at our SIP address, and note the SIP username/password.
  2. Link it: in the app, Numbers → Bring Your Own Number — enter the number (+E.164), sip.flynumber.com, port 5060/UDP, and your SIP credential. Tap Verify and enter the 6-digit code we read to you on a callback call.
  3. PinePhone contacts (CardDAV): create an app password in web Settings, add a CardDAV account on the PinePhone Contacts app with the /dav/ URL — tapping a synced number dials it over your linked trunk.
  4. PinePhone dialer / softphones: register Linphone, Zoiper, or any SIP phone directly against sip.flynumber.com:5060/UDP with your FlyNumber SIP username/password, G.711 u-law, RFC2833 DTMF.

For your own conversations only — no autodialing or cold calling. Outbound uses your FlyNumber prepaid balance.

Common Issues & Fixes

  • "No leads in the hopper": Campaign not Active, list not Active, or no NEW-status leads in calling hours. Ask admin to check.
  • "Extension could not be verified": Phone registration stale. Log out and re-enter via Dialer for fresh extension.
  • "You do not have permission" (admin pages): Your admin account needs section permissions. Superuser sets this in ViciDial Admin → Users.
  • Empty login form: SSO link expired (15 min) or already used. Open Dialer from MangoFone again.
  • Calls fail with "403/407": Caller ID not owned by carrier. Set campaign Caller ID to a number your carrier verifies.
  • Audio issues: Dial 600 (echo test). If you hear yourself, mic/speaker works. If not, check browser permissions & headset.
